Uniform Suppliers UAE is the uniform and workforce-identity division of Mustang Advertising Trading LLC, operating since 2007. We supply comfortable, professional uniforms for hospitals, clinics, pharmacies and laboratories across the UAE and GCC.

Healthcare teams work long shifts, move constantly and launder their uniforms more often than almost any other workforce. Patients and visitors also need to recognise who is who at a glance. This page explains how to plan healthcare uniforms in the UAE role by role: what each team wears, how colour-coding works, what frequent washing demands of a fabric, and how a programme runs from measurement to repeat orders.

Who this page is for

  • Hospitals dressing clinical, support and administrative teams across many departments.
  • Clinics and medical centres that want a consistent look across several branches.
  • Laboratories and diagnostic centres ordering lab coats and scrubs for technical staff.
  • Pharmacies, from single outlets to multi-branch groups.
  • Dental and aesthetic clinics, where the uniform is also part of the brand experience.

Our healthcare uniform range

The full range sits under healthcare uniforms.

Scrubs and tunics

Medical scrubs are the daily garment for most clinical roles: tops and trousers in a choice of colours, necklines, sleeve lengths and pocket layouts. Tunics offer a more structured alternative for clinics and reception-facing clinical staff.

Lab coats and doctor coats

Lab coats and doctor coats look similar but are specified differently. Length, cuff style, closure and pocket position depend on whether the coat is worn at a bench or in a consultation room. Our guide to lab coats and doctor coats covers the details.

Nurse, clinic and pharmacy uniforms

Nurse uniforms include scrub sets, tunics and dresses with trouser options. Clinic and pharmacy uniforms cover pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, receptionists and patient-services teams.

Footwear, disposables and identification

Healthcare footwear is selected for staff who stand and walk for most of a shift. Single-use items are listed under disposable protective wear. Name badges, ID cards and lanyards complete the identification set.

Role-by-role selection table

Use this table as a starting brief for your facility. Adjust it to your own departments, dress policy and laundry arrangements.

Colour-coding by role

Colour-coding by department or role helps patients, visitors and colleagues identify people without reading a badge. It also makes sorting in the laundry simpler.

  • Keep the palette small. A handful of clearly different colours is easier to recognise than many close shades.
  • Choose colours that can be repeated. A colour scheme only works if the same shade can be supplied again for new joiners and replacements. Approved fabric and colour records are stored for repeat orders.
  • Combine colour with text. Embroidered names, roles and logos confirm identity for anyone who does not know the colour scheme.
  • Document the scheme. A one-page colour chart per facility prevents departments drifting apart over time.

Multi-branch groups should decide early whether colours identify the role or the branch. Mixing both usually confuses patients.

Laundering at higher temperatures

Healthcare garments are generally washed more often, and at higher temperatures, than hospitality or office uniforms. That affects fabric, colour and branding choices long before the first order is placed.

  • Confirm the wash process first. Ask your in-house or contracted laundry for the temperature, detergent and drying method it uses, and share this at the brief stage.
  • Ask about shrinkage and colour loss. Request the fabric details and care instructions for the exact fabric quoted.
  • Check the branding method. Embroidery generally tolerates repeated hot washing well; printed finishes should be confirmed against your wash temperature. See embroidery.
  • Test before bulk. Run the approved sample through your own laundry cycle several times.
  • Issue enough sets. Daily changes need enough garments per person to rotate between wear, wash and spare.

We select durable fabrics intended for frequent washing. Final specification will be confirmed during quotation. General care advice is in the fabric care guide.

Comfort on long shifts and modest options

A twelve-hour shift exposes every weakness in a garment. Waistbands, underarm seams, neckline height and pocket position matter more than they appear to on a size chart.

  • Movement. Stretch panels or stretch fabrics help with bending, lifting and reaching.
  • Temperature. Wards and clinics are strongly air-conditioned, while staff may walk between buildings in summer heat. We give UAE and GCC climate-ready fabric recommendations as advice for each role.
  • Size range. UAE healthcare teams are multi-national, so a wide size range with both regular and tall lengths avoids ad-hoc alterations. The size and fit guide explains how sizes are taken.
  • Modest options. Long-sleeve scrub tops, longer tunic lengths, higher necklines and headscarves in matching colours should be part of the standard range. Sleeve length in clinical areas should follow your own facility policy.

Infection control, protective properties and regulation

A uniform supports your dress policy; it does not replace it. Facilities should confirm their own infection-control policy and regulator requirements before fixing a garment specification, and should confirm current requirements with the relevant health authority.

If a role needs a specific protective property, that property must be evidenced on the product datasheet for the exact item being supplied. Do not rely on a general description of a fabric or garment type. Tell us at the brief stage which roles have such requirements, so that only items with the relevant documentation are quoted for them.

How a healthcare uniform programme runs with Mustang

  1. Brief. You share the role list, headcount, colour scheme, dress policy and laundry process.
  2. Measurement. Free onsite individual uniform measurement is available in the UAE for qualifying company uniform orders, scheduled around shift patterns. Garments measured by Mustang are covered by a fit-correction guarantee, which does not cover body-size changes after measurement. See onsite measurement.
  3. Mock-up. A free digital logo mock-up shows embroidery position and size before production.
  4. Sample. Free uniform samples are provided against a confirmed Local Purchase Order (LPO).
  5. Production and branding. Garments are custom-made or drawn from ready stock, then branded in-house. Urgent staff can be supplied from ready stock while the custom order is completed.
  6. Packing. Orders are packed employee by employee, labelled by name, department, branch or location.
  7. Repeat orders. Approved sizing, fabric, colour, logo position and branding are kept on record for new-joiner kits, replacements and annual replenishment through employee uniform programmes.

Delivery timelines are confirmed during quotation.

Frequently asked questions

Can you supply a whole hospital or clinic group from one programme?

Yes. Scrubs, lab coats, doctor coats, nurse uniforms, reception and pharmacy uniforms, footwear, name badges, ID cards and lanyards can be planned together and packed by employee, department or branch.

Can scrubs be colour-coded by department?

Yes. Colour-coding by department or role is a standard part of healthcare uniform planning. The approved colours are stored on record so that later orders match the first issue.

Do your healthcare uniforms meet infection-control requirements?

Requirements differ between facilities. You should confirm your own infection-control policy and regulator requirements, and any protective property you need must be evidenced on the product datasheet for the specific item. We quote against the specification you confirm.

Will embroidery survive hot washing?

Embroidery generally tolerates frequent laundering well, but the result depends on thread, fabric and your wash process. Share your laundry temperature at the brief stage and test the approved sample before bulk production.

Are modest uniform options available?

Yes. Long-sleeve tops, longer tunics, higher necklines and matching headscarves can be included in the standard range, in line with your facility dress policy.

Can we get samples before ordering?

Free uniform samples are provided against a confirmed Local Purchase Order. The conditions are set out in the sample policy.
