Oil and gas workwear in the UAE is specified by the site, not chosen from a catalogue. Uniform Suppliers UAE supplies workwear and PPE programmes to energy employers and their contractors across the UAE and GCC, built around the PPE specification that applies to each facility.
This page sets out how to brief an enquiry for field, maintenance, HSE, contractor, logistics and office teams, and how standards, documentation and branding are handled. Uniform Suppliers UAE is the uniform and workforce-identity division of Mustang Advertising Trading LLC, operating since 2007.
The workwear challenge on UAE energy sites
Energy work in the Gulf combines outdoor heat, coastal humidity, dust and long shifts with hazards that change from one area of a facility to the next. Clothing has to match the hazard assessment for each task and still be wearable through a full summer shift.
Most employers also manage a mixed workforce: direct employees, contractor labour mobilised for a project or shutdown, drivers and visitors. Each group may sit under a different line of the site PPE matrix, and each needs to be identifiable at a gate or muster point.
The site specification governs
The operator’s or site owner’s PPE specification governs what may be worn on its facilities. State the required standard, protection level, colour and any labelling rule in your enquiry, and attach the relevant section of the specification where you can.
We request conformity documentation for each product and share it with the quotation, so your HSE team can check it against the requirement before anything is ordered. We never assign a standard to a garment that has not been verified for your order. Final specification will be confirmed during quotation.
Garments by role
Use this table, with our oil, gas and energy uniforms range, as a starting point for your enquiry.
| Role | Typical garments | What to specify |
|---|---|---|
| Field operators and technicians | Coveralls or two-piece workwear to the site specification, safety boots, gloves, head and eye protection | Required flame-resistance or antistatic standard, fabric weight, reflective tape layout, colour by discipline |
| Maintenance and shutdown crews | Coveralls or boilersuits, task-specific gloves, spare sets for the shutdown period | Headcount by size, sets per person, mobilisation date, laundering arrangement |
| HSE officers | Workwear in a distinguishing colour, high-visibility vest or jacket, safety footwear | Colour or marking that identifies HSE staff, name and role identification |
| Contractor labour | Coveralls in the contractor colour, safety boots, high-visibility clothing | Logo position, any site owner rule on branding, packing by crew or location |
| Logistics staff and drivers | Work shirts and trousers or coveralls, high-visibility clothing, safety shoes or boots | Site entry requirements for drivers, day and night visibility, yard duties |
| Office and control-room staff | Corporate shirts or polo shirts, trousers, a jacket or knitwear for air-conditioned rooms | Whether site-visit PPE is also needed, embroidery position, name badges |
Fabric and climate notes
Protective fabrics are often heavier than everyday workwear, and that weight is felt in Gulf summer conditions. Ask for the fabric weight in GSM alongside the protection requirement, and judge options on a physical sample as well as a data sheet. Our fabric recommendations for UAE and GCC conditions are advice based on your working environment, not a performance guarantee.
- Fabric type: flame-resistant fabrics may be inherently resistant or treated. Ask which applies and what the care label says about washing.
- Laundering: decide early whether garments go to an industrial laundry or home with the wearer, because it changes how many sets each person needs. Our fabric care guide covers the basics.
- Fit: rolled sleeves, open cuffs and oversized legs defeat the purpose of protective clothing, so accurate sizing matters more here than in most sectors.
Branding and identification
Branding on protective garments needs care. Thread, transfer film and badges are additions to the garment, so a site specification may restrict the method, size and position of logos. Tell us about any restriction before the free digital logo mock-up is prepared.
Embroidery and garment printing are handled in-house. Colour by discipline or contractor, with name and company identification, helps supervisors and gate staff recognise who belongs where. Office teams can add name badges, ID cards and lanyards in the same programme.
How ordering works
- Enquiry: send roles, headcount, sizes if known, the mobilisation date and the site PPE specification through Request a Quote.
- Proposal: we propose garments from ready stock, custom manufacture or both, with conformity documentation requested per product.
- Mock-up and sample: you receive a free digital logo mock-up before production. Uniform samples are free against a confirmed Local Purchase Order (LPO).
- Measurement: free onsite individual uniform measurement is available in the UAE for qualifying company uniform orders. See onsite measurement.
- Production and packing: garments are packed employee by employee, by name, department, branch or location.
- Repeat orders: approved sizing, fabric, colour, logo position and branding are stored, so new joiners and replacements match the original issue.
For projects elsewhere in the Gulf, see GCC uniform supply. Delivery timelines are confirmed during quotation.

Frequently asked questions
Do your garments meet a specific flame-resistance or antistatic standard?
That depends on the product selected for your order. Tell us the standard your site specification requires. We request conformity documentation for the product proposed and share it with your HSE team, and we do not attach a standard to any garment without that evidence.
Can you supply contractor crews for a shutdown or project mobilisation?
Yes. Ready-stock garments can be combined with custom manufacturing in one programme, and urgent staff can be supplied from ready stock while the custom order is completed. Send headcount, sizes and your mobilisation date with the enquiry.
Can company logos be added to protective coveralls?
Yes, where the site specification allows it. Tell us about any limit on logo size, position or application method, and we will reflect it in the digital mock-up before production.
Do you supply energy projects outside the UAE?
Yes. We coordinate delivery to Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain and Kuwait, with exact delivery time and customs commitments quoted per project. Free onsite measurement is offered in the UAE only, for qualifying company uniform orders.
