On a construction project, workwear is part of mobilisation. Before anyone passes the gate, each person needs the right coverall, footwear, helmet and high-visibility layer for their role, in the right size, marked with the right company name. Sourcing construction workwear UAE projects require is therefore a planning exercise as much as a purchase.
Uniform Suppliers UAE, the uniform and workforce-identity division of Mustang Advertising Trading LLC, supplies coveralls and boilersuits, work shirts, trousers and jackets, high-visibility clothing, safety shoes, boots and PPE, with company branding and worker names. This page summarises what each site role typically wears. The full guide to industrial uniforms and safety workwear is on our industrial uniforms UAE page.
The site workwear challenge in the UAE
Outdoor work in Gulf heat, humidity and dust is hard on people and garments. Workwear has to cover and identify the wearer while staying wearable through a full shift, and it is washed often, frequently in camp laundries.
Projects also involve many employers on one site. Main contractors usually set site rules covering garment colour, visibility and footwear, and subcontractors must match them. Workforces are large, multi-national and wide-ranging in size, and numbers rise and fall with each project phase.
Who decides what PPE is needed
PPE selection follows the employer’s risk assessment and the site or main-contractor requirements. We supply to that specification and do not decide it for you. For regulatory questions, employers should confirm current requirements with the relevant authority.
Role-by-role garment guide
| Role | Typical garments | What to specify |
|---|---|---|
| Site labour and trades | Coverall or work shirt and trousers, safety boots or shoes, helmet, gloves, high-visibility vest | Fabric weight and blend for outdoor heat; reflective tape layout required by the site; glove type per task; company name on the back |
| Supervisors and engineers | Work shirt and trousers or coverall, high-visibility vest or jacket, safety footwear, helmet | A colour or helmet code that distinguishes supervision; pockets for radio, phone and drawings; embroidered name and title |
| HSE officers | High-visibility vest or jacket in a distinct colour, work shirt and trousers, safety footwear, helmet, eye protection | Instant recognition across the site; role wording printed on the back; items matched to the areas they inspect |
| Visitors | Visitor high-visibility vest, helmet, eye protection, loan footwear where the site requires it | A pooled set in a range of sizes; clear visitor marking; simple storage and reissue at the gate |
| Drivers and plant operators | Work shirt and trousers or coverall, high-visibility vest, safety footwear, gloves | Comfort when seated for long periods; visibility when leaving the cab; footwear suited to pedal work |
| Office-based project staff | Corporate shirt or polo shirt, trousers; site kit for visits | Branding consistent with site teams; a personal helmet, vest and footwear for site walks |
Matching product ranges: coveralls, high-visibility clothing, safety shoes, safety boots, safety gloves and head and eye protection. Office uniforms for head-office teams are covered on our corporate and office page.
Fabric, climate and standards notes
For outdoor trades, cotton-rich fabrics are generally more comfortable in heat, while polyester-rich blends tend to dry sooner and hold colour through repeated washing. Lighter weights help in summer; heavier weights last longer under abrasion.
We give UAE and GCC climate-ready fabric recommendations as advice, not as a performance guarantee.
Reading the standards on a specification
Project specifications often cite standards, for example EN ISO 20471 for high-visibility clothing or EN ISO 20345 for safety footwear. Treat these as requirements for the specific product, not the supplier: note the standard and class your risk assessment calls for, and ask any supplier to evidence it for the exact item quoted. Final specification will be confirmed during quotation.
Branding and identification
On a multi-contractor site, the company name on the back of a coverall or vest tells security and supervisors who a worker belongs to. Large back prints, chest logos and role wording are applied in-house by printing or embroidery, and you receive a free digital logo mock-up before production. See garment printing for the methods available.
Colour-coding by trade, subcontractor or role is common practice; agree it with the main contractor before ordering. ID cards and lanyards or badge holders can be supplied with the garments for gate access.
How ordering works
- Specification. Share the risk-assessment and site requirements, roles, numbers per site and items per person, with your logo.
- Mock-up and samples. A free digital logo mock-up is prepared, and free uniform samples are provided against a confirmed Local Purchase Order (LPO).
- Sizing. Send a size list per employee, or use free onsite measurement in the UAE for qualifying company uniform orders.
- Supply. Ready-stock garments can be combined with custom manufacturing in one programme, and urgent staff can be supplied from ready stock while the custom order is completed.
- Packing for mobilisation. Orders can be packed site by site and employee by employee, labelled by name, department or location, so kits are issued at induction without sorting.
- Repeat orders. Approved sizing, fabric, colour, logo position and branding records are stored for the next phase or project.
Delivery timelines are confirmed during quotation. For replacements and new joiners across a long project, see employee uniform programmes.

Frequently asked questions
Can you tell us which PPE our site needs?
No. PPE is selected through the employer’s risk assessment and the site or main-contractor requirements. Once you share that specification, we quote garments and PPE items against it.
Can workwear and PPE come from one supplier?
Yes. Coveralls, work shirts and trousers, high-visibility clothing, safety footwear, gloves, head and eye protection, ID cards and lanyards can be supplied together, with branding handled in-house.
How do you handle a large mobilisation across several sites?
Orders can be packed by site and by employee, labelled by name, department or location. Ready-stock garments can cover urgent starters while the custom order is completed. Delivery timelines are confirmed during quotation.
Can worker names and company logos be added to coveralls?
Yes. Company branding and worker names can be printed or embroidered. You approve a free digital logo mock-up before production, and the approved positions are stored for repeat orders.
