Custom uniform manufacturing means your garments are made to a specification you approve — fabric, colour, cut, trims and branding — rather than selected from an existing range. This page sets out the process step by step, so procurement, HR and operations teams know what happens, what they decide and what to prepare.

Uniform Suppliers UAE is the uniform and workforce-identity division of Mustang Advertising Trading LLC, operating since 2007, with production and warehouse operations in Dubai. For capability and sector coverage, see our uniform manufacturer in the UAE page; this page explains how an order runs.

When custom manufacturing is the right route

Custom suits organisations that need an exact corporate colour, a design that is not sold off the shelf, modest-fit options, a wide size range for a multi-nationality workforce, or one garment repeated across branches and emirates for years. Where a standard garment will do, ready-stock uniforms may be simpler, and both routes can be combined in one programme.

How custom uniform manufacturing works

  1. Brief and requirements. You share roles, staff numbers by department, working conditions, brand guidelines and any dress-code or modesty requirements.
  2. Fabric and design recommendation. We recommend fabrics and constructions for the role and for UAE and GCC conditions: outdoor heat and humidity, strong indoor air-conditioning, dust and frequent laundering. This is advice, not a performance guarantee. Final specification will be confirmed during quotation.
  3. Free digital logo mock-up. Before production you receive a digital mock-up showing logo size, position and branding method on the garment.
  4. Sample. Free uniform samples are available against a confirmed Local Purchase Order (LPO). The approved sample becomes the production reference — see uniform sampling.
  5. Sizing. Free onsite individual uniform measurement is available in the UAE for qualifying company uniform orders; otherwise sizes are collected against a size chart. See onsite measurement.
  6. Production. Production begins once the sample, size list and artwork are approved in writing.
  7. Branding. Logos, names and department identifiers are applied by embroidery or printing, with in-house branding support.
  8. Employee-level packing. Garments are packed employee by employee — by name, department, branch or location — so distribution on site is simple.
  9. Stored records. Approved sizing, fabric, colour, logo position and branding are stored for repeat orders.

What to prepare before requesting a quotation

  • A list of roles with approximate staff numbers and garments per person.
  • Logo artwork in vector format and brand colour references.
  • Photos or samples of current uniforms, with notes on what works and what does not.
  • Working conditions for each role: indoor, outdoor, kitchen, site or front of house.
  • Delivery locations, branches and the name of the person who approves samples.
  • Your mobilisation or opening date, so the programme can be planned around it.

The custom uniform manufacturing guide explains each of these decisions in more depth.

What is included and the conditions that apply

  • Free digital logo mock-up before production.
  • Free uniform samples against a confirmed LPO; other sampling arrangements are discussed during quotation.
  • Free onsite individual uniform measurement in the UAE for qualifying company uniform orders; eligibility is confirmed during quotation.
  • Fit-correction guarantee for garments measured by Mustang. It does not cover body-size changes after measurement.
  • Stored records of approved sizing, fabric, colour, logo position and branding for repeat orders.

Lead time depends on fabric and colour availability, the number of styles, branding complexity and how promptly samples and artwork are approved. Delivery timelines are confirmed during quotation. For projects outside the UAE, see GCC uniform supply.

Frequently asked questions

Can uniforms be made in our exact corporate colour?

Share a brand colour reference with your brief. The closest achievable match in the chosen fabric is shown at sample stage, which is why the approved sample, not a screen image, is the reference for production.

Do we have to approve a sample before production?

Yes. The approved sample is the production reference for fit, fabric, colour, stitching and branding. Free uniform samples are available against a confirmed Local Purchase Order.

What if some staff start before the custom order is completed?

Urgent staff can be supplied from ready stock while the custom order is completed. Tell us the start dates in your brief so both routes are planned together.

How do repeat orders work?

Approved sizing, fabric, colour, logo position and branding are stored, so new-joiner and replacement orders are produced to the same specification without restarting the process.
