Hospitality Uniforms UAE
Uniform Suppliers UAE is the uniform and workforce-identity division of Mustang Advertising Trading LLC, operating since 2007. We provide complete uniform solutions for hotels, resorts, restaurants and cafés across the UAE and GCC — coordinated across every department and built for daily service.
A hospitality uniform has three jobs to do at the same time. It carries the brand in front of guests, it survives commercial laundering week after week, and it keeps staff comfortable as they move between a strongly air-conditioned lobby and an outdoor terrace in August. This page explains how to plan hospitality uniforms in the UAE department by department, and how a programme runs from first measurement to repeat orders.
Who this page is for
- Pre-opening teams dressing a new hotel, resort or restaurant against a fixed opening date.
- Procurement and purchasing managers consolidating several uniform suppliers into one programme.
- HR and operations managers who handle new joiners, replacements and annual replenishment.
- Restaurant groups, café operators and catering companies that need one look across several branches or emirates.
- Spa and wellness managers within hotels and resorts.
Our hospitality uniform range
The full range sits under hospitality uniforms. It is organised by the way hospitality teams actually work.
Hotels and resorts
Hotel uniforms cover front office, concierge, guest relations, bell and door staff. Housekeeping uniforms cover room attendants, public area attendants, laundry and supervisors, with cuts that allow bending, reaching and lifting.
Kitchens
Chef wear includes chef jackets, trousers and headwear for every rank from commis to executive chef. Aprons are available in bib, waist and bistro styles for kitchen, stewarding and service use.
Restaurants, cafés and catering
Restaurant and waiter uniforms cover hosts, servers, runners and supervisors. Barista uniforms suit coffee counters, bakeries and casual dining, where an apron and a branded shirt or polo often carry the whole look.
Spa and wellness
Spa and wellness tunics for therapists and spa reception are listed under spa uniforms.
Identification and accessories
Name badges, engraved badges, ID cards and lanyards come from the same supplier, so the badge finish and the garment branding are planned together. See name badges.
Department-by-department selection table
Use this table as a starting brief. Each department has different movement, laundering and guest-contact demands, so one fabric rarely suits the whole property.
| Department | Typical garments | What to specify |
|---|---|---|
| Front office and concierge | Suits, blazers, shirts, blouses, waistcoats, ties and scarves | Colour matched to the brand palette, fabric weight suited to an air-conditioned lobby, modest-fit options, name badge position |
| Housekeeping | Tunics, dresses, trousers, polo shirts for public area attendants | Ease of movement, colourfastness under frequent washing, pocket layout, short or long sleeves |
| F&B service | Shirts, waistcoats, trousers, skirts, aprons, polo shirts for pool and beach outlets | A distinct look per outlet, how well the colour hides stains, apron length and pockets, lighter fabrics for outdoor service |
| Kitchen | Chef jackets, chef trousers, aprons, headwear, neckerchiefs | Fabric weight and breathability, closure type, sleeve length, embroidered name and rank |
| Stewarding | Tunics or work shirts, trousers, waterproof aprons, slip-resistant footwear | Durability in wet areas, easy-care fabric, slip resistance evidenced on the footwear datasheet |
| Engineering and maintenance | Work shirts, work trousers, coveralls, safety footwear | Tool pockets, darker colours, any protective requirement identified in the property’s own risk assessment |
| Security and valet | Shirts, trousers, blazers or jackets, caps | Comfort in outdoor heat, visibility in driveways and car parks, badge and epaulette positions |
| Spa and wellness | Tunics, wrap tops, trousers | Freedom of movement, soft handle, care after contact with oils, modest necklines and sleeve lengths |

Pre-opening rollouts and replenishment
A pre-opening is the hardest uniform project in hospitality. Recruitment is phased, job titles change, and staff often arrive after the measurement day. The uniform plan has to absorb all of that without leaving anyone undressed on opening day.
Ready stock and custom manufacturing in one programme
Ready-stock supply helps new openings get staff dressed, and custom manufacturing delivers a branded, tailored look over time. The two are combined in one programme: urgent staff can be supplied from ready stock while the custom order is completed. Back-of-house roles such as stewarding, engineering and kitchen teams are often the simplest to cover from ready-stock uniforms, while guest-facing departments wait for their custom-manufactured designs.
Measurement and department-level packing
Free onsite individual uniform measurement is available in the UAE for qualifying company uniform orders. Garments are then packed employee by employee, labelled by name, department, branch or location. For a large property this means each department head receives sealed packs for their own team, instead of sorting mixed cartons in a loading bay.
What affects the timeline
Lead time depends on the number of styles, whether fabric must be dyed to a brand colour, how many sampling rounds are needed, the branding method and the size range. Late design changes and late recruitment are the most common causes of pressure. Delivery timelines are confirmed during quotation. Our checklist for launching uniforms for a new hotel sets out the decisions to close first.
How a hospitality uniform programme runs with Mustang
- Brief. You share the department list, headcount by role, brand guidelines and opening or replenishment date.
- Measurement. Staff are measured individually on site in the UAE for qualifying company orders. Garments measured by Mustang are covered by a fit-correction guarantee, which does not cover body-size changes after measurement. See onsite measurement.
- Mock-up. A free digital logo mock-up shows branding position and size before production.
- Sample. Free uniform samples are provided against a confirmed Local Purchase Order (LPO), so the approving manager can check fabric, colour and fit.
- Production and branding. Garments are made or drawn from stock, then embroidered or printed with in-house branding support.
- Packing. Orders are packed by employee name, department, branch or location.
- Repeat orders. Approved sizing, fabric, colour, logo position and branding are stored on record, so new-joiner kits and replacements match the original issue.
Ongoing supply is managed through employee uniform programmes covering rollout, new-joiner kits, replacements and annual replenishment.
Laundering durability and fabric choice
Hospitality garments are washed far more often than office wear, usually in an in-house or contracted commercial laundry. Heat, detergent strength and tumble drying all shorten the life of a garment that was chosen only for how it looked on a hanger.
- Ask about colourfastness and shrinkage. Dark colours and bright brand colours show fading first, so request the fabric details before approving a colour.
- Test the sample in your own laundry. Run the approved sample through several real wash cycles before bulk production.
- Plan enough sets per person. Rotation between wear, wash and spare reduces wear on each garment.
- Match branding to the wash process. Embroidery generally tolerates repeated laundering well; printed finishes should be chosen with the wash temperature in mind.
- Balance indoor and outdoor comfort. Pool, beach, valet and terrace teams work in heat and humidity, while lobby and restaurant teams sit in strong air-conditioning.
We give UAE and GCC climate-ready fabric recommendations as advice for each department. Final specification will be confirmed during quotation. Care instructions are covered in the fabric care guide.
Brand standards and consistency
Most hotels and restaurant groups work to written brand standards: colour references, logo placement, grooming rules and a defined look for each outlet. A uniform supplier should work from those documents, not from a verbal description.
- Share colour references and logo artwork at the brief stage so the digital mock-up reflects the approved standard.
- Agree modest options, such as longer sleeves, longer tunic lengths and headscarves in matching colours, as part of the standard range and not as exceptions.
- Fix name badge style and position per department. A one-year no-fading warranty applies to eligible engraved badges; see the warranty terms.
- Keep one approved record per garment so a second property, a new branch or a replacement order matches the first issue.

Frequently asked questions
Can you supply every department of a hotel from one programme?
Yes. Front office, housekeeping, F&B service, kitchen, stewarding, engineering, security, valet and spa uniforms can be planned together, along with name badges, ID cards and lanyards, so the whole property is coordinated by one supplier.
How do you handle staff who join after measurement day?
Urgent staff can be supplied from ready stock while the custom order is completed. Approved sizing and style records are stored, so later joiners can be added to the programme as new-joiner kits.
Is onsite measurement available outside the UAE?
Free onsite individual measurement applies in the UAE for qualifying company uniform orders. For hospitality projects elsewhere in the GCC, sizing and project coordination are agreed per project during quotation.
Can we see a sample before committing to bulk production?
Free uniform samples are provided against a confirmed Local Purchase Order. Details are set out in the sample policy.
Which fabrics last longest in a hotel laundry?
It depends on the department, the wash temperature and the drying process. We recommend fabrics suited to each role and to the UAE climate, and advise testing the approved sample in your own laundry before bulk production.
Do you supply restaurants and cafés as well as hotels?
Yes. Independent restaurants, restaurant groups, cafés and catering companies are supplied with waiter, barista, chef and apron ranges, with packing by branch for multi-site operators.
