A school uniform programme is unlike most workwear orders. The wearers are still growing, parents are often the end buyers, and the same garment may be worn and washed several times a week through a long, hot academic year. Add PE kit, staff uniforms and a new intake every term, and the specification needs to be right before the first garment is cut.

Uniform Suppliers UAE is the uniform and workforce-identity division of Mustang Advertising Trading LLC, operating since 2007 from Dubai. We supply pupil uniforms, PE and sports kit, and uniforms for teachers, administrators and support staff to school operators, nurseries, colleges and training institutes in the UAE and across the GCC.

The school uniform challenge in the UAE

Pupils move between strongly air-conditioned classrooms and outdoor assembly areas, playgrounds and bus bays several times a day. A fabric that feels comfortable at a desk can feel heavy in the playground, so weight, weave and colour need to be chosen for both conditions.

Size ranges are wide. One school may need garments from early-years sizes through to adult sizes for senior pupils, with mid-year joiners arriving every term. Colour also has to stay consistent between batches, because siblings and classmates often buy the same item a year apart.

Dress codes and modesty

Many schools offer trouser and long-skirt options, long-sleeve shirts and modest PE kit alongside the standard items. We do not set dress-code rules. Schools should confirm their own regulator and operator dress-code requirements before approving a design, then share them with us so that the range reflects them.

Fabric and climate notes

School garments are laundered more often than almost any other uniform, usually at home and at mixed temperatures. Polyester-cotton blends are widely used for shirts and trousers because they balance comfort with easy care, while knitted fabrics suit polo shirts and PE kit.

Ask to see fabric swatches in your school colours before approving bulk fabric, and wash them the way parents will. Check how white shirts behave alongside darker trousers and skirts. We give UAE and GCC climate-ready fabric recommendations as advice, based on how and where each garment will be worn. Final specification will be confirmed during quotation.

For background on fabric weight, read our guide to fabric GSM for UAE workwear. The same principles apply to school shirts and trousers.

Crests, branding and identification

Embroidery is the usual choice for crests on shirts, blazers and knitwear, while printing suits PE kit, house tops and event T-shirts. Both are handled in-house through our embroidery and garment printing services, and every design starts with a free digital logo mock-up before production.

Adults on campus need to be identifiable at a glance. Staff name badges, ID cards and lanyards are available from our workforce accessories range, so teaching, administration and support teams can be supplied alongside the garments. Our guide to name badges, ID cards and lanyards explains the options.

How ordering works

  1. Brief. Share your garment list, pupil and staff numbers by size band, colours, crest artwork and any dress-code requirements.
  2. Mock-up. We prepare a free digital logo mock-up showing crest size and position on each garment.
  3. Sample. Free uniform samples are provided against a confirmed Local Purchase Order (LPO). See uniform sampling for how this works.
  4. Sizing. Pupil sizing is normally planned from size charts and size sets, with the approach agreed during quotation. For staff uniforms, free onsite individual measurement is offered in the UAE for qualifying company uniform orders.
  5. Production and packing. Custom manufacturing and ready-stock garments can be combined in one programme. Staff uniforms can be packed employee by employee, by name, department or campus.
  6. Repeat orders. We keep records of approved sizing, fabric, colour, logo position and branding, so that the next intake matches the current one.

Delivery timelines are confirmed during quotation. Lead time depends on fabric availability, the number of colours and sizes, branding complexity and sample approvals, so the most reliable step a school can take is to brief well before the new academic year. Multi-campus operators can run uniforms as an ongoing uniform programme covering new joiners, replacements and annual replenishment.

Frequently asked questions

Can you supply pupil uniforms, PE kit and staff uniforms together?

Yes. Pupil garments, sportswear and staff uniforms can be quoted and managed as one programme, with shared colours and consistent crest placement across the range.

How is sizing handled for pupils?

Pupil sizing is usually planned with a size chart and physical size sets, so that parents or school staff can choose the right fit. The exact approach is agreed during quotation. Our sizing and measuring guide explains how to take measurements.

Do you decide what our dress code should include?

No. Dress-code requirements are set by each school and its regulator or operator. Schools should confirm those requirements themselves, and we then build the garment range, modest options and colours around them.

Can we reorder the same uniform next year?

Yes. Approved sizing, fabric, colour, logo position and branding are kept on record, so repeat orders and new-intake top-ups follow the same specification.
